Kangaroo Zoo....

Ash and I took the kids to Kangaroo Zoo the other day...and had a blast!
I'm finally getting my schedule back to normal and going out with the boys is just what I needed! I love taking them places and letting them explore the world.
The boys absolutely loved it!
Hunter and Carter were so facinated by everything...and Brax and Brin would play together on the smaller bounce things. Perfect fit!
They all took a break and had slushies. Each kids chose a different flavor...how fun!
Braxton had such a great time...this will be something that we do more often.
Thanks guys for such a great afternoon!

Braxton's Girlfriend Turns 2!

Brinley Davis turned 2! This sweet little girl is going to marry our Brax. Ashley and I already have it arranged. :)
We went to her birthday party last week...and it was a blast! My favortie part of the party was the barbie cake Ashley made. She is such a great mom and makes the birthday cakes for her kids every year.
Carter and Brax got her a color on playhouse. It's cardboard that you color and then it builds into a playhouse. The kids had such a great time!
Brinley loved playing in it!
Braxton and Brinlel playing house....better get some practice in before the marriage right?
The cupcakes were adorable! Braxton absolutely loved the icing! And sweet Brin wanted cheese....priceless!
It was such a fun party...and our kids just love eachother!

Family Time...

Lately, Scott and I have been spending a ton of time doing some fun things with the boys. Both of us have been so busy with work, church callings and keeping up the house.
One of my favorite things that Scott does is read books to the boys every night. Carter has always been interested in books. We usually read about 5 books a night, and now we've introduced our tradition to Brax. (Though B is still youg to sit through al of the books, he has a great time!)
I've always had the goal to decorate well for every holiday. I'm really good at the bug holidays, but the smaller ones like Valentine's Day have always been hard for me. So, this year I went browsing the DI and found some awesome additions for our Valentine's Day display...
While Carter was at school yesterday, Brax and I made some pink strawberry rice crispie treats! I had to do some work last weekend in our Ogden facility, so Scott and the boys came with me. They got to play while I got to work. (Not 100% fair, but that's how it goes) Carter loves the bumper cars!
Brax only gets to go when it's only Scott and Carter on the bumper cars. He's really not supposed to go because he's too small, but with just being our little fam, they have a great time.
So fun!

Record....

My mom told me about this really cute idea with records. Braxton's 2nd birthday party will be "music themed" and we all know my mom and I start planning these huge events way in advance.
I went to Savers today and found some records for under $1....I'm sure the people there wondered what I was doing with a dance music record.

You take your record and put it on an upside-down mixing bowl. I put everything on a cookie sheet and in the oven on low for about 10 minutes.
Once the vinyl is soft, take it out of the oven and flip the bowl right-side up. Put the softened record in the bowl, pushing down the sides.
Let it cool for about 5 minutes and here ya go!
Such a fun bowl, only $1 and seriously is going to be a hit at the party!

Valentine's Events....

February is one of my favorite months...for one big reason Valentine's Day. Really I celebrate this holiday all month long with my three boys (Scott included)
We do lots of "heart," "red," and "loving" things throughout the month....stay posted!
Tonight, we had our Family Movie Night and ate heart-shaped quesadillas (and our favorite french bread) while we all watched our family movie.
I scored some FREE Krispie Kreme Valentine coupons...so Scott and I took the boys there for their free doughnuts. I haven't been to here in about 8 years, but I have to say it was a really fun activity for us to do with the boys. Brax and Carter had such a great time watching how the doughnuts were made and the process they go through.

The end result was SWEET....
This was Brax's very first Krispie Kreme doughnut....pretty sure he LOVED it!
This week we also made Carter's Valentine's to give out at school....this holiday tradition has grown to become something HUGE in our home! IT's really cut-throat out there when it comes to what your kid is giving for Valentine's.
This year we made these adorable bags that said, "You're the cutest friend on the 'block' I 'donut" lie.
Carter decorated these foam blocks with all sorts of things...
And then every bag got a free donut coupon as well....super cute!
Like I said before, keep checking back for more!
