Fun-Filled Busy Day!

Yesterday Carter introduced his two cousins to BOONDOCKS!
I have to say...this place is really a great place to take your kids to play, burn off energy and get out of the house! I am a big fan of how clean it is, it's open and very bright and has so many fun things to do. (Brax lost his shoe, and just to elaborate on the cleanliness, within a couple of minutes while looking for the shoe on the ground, an employee had already picked it up and turned it into the office. So within a matter a minutes I had his shoe back! LOVE IT!)
The older cousins play so well together...Tanner is quickly catching up to the big boys though!
I even got Brax in on the action! We were the only people there, so it was so nice to have the place to ourselves. I took advantage and let Brax play too...
We ended our trip with a ride on the merry-go-round. Carter was really upset that Brax was eating his crackers in this pic...We finished our busy day with a trip to Maddox to celebrate Carter's Great Grandpa's birthday. This was the first time Brax had ever sat in a high chair in a restaurant. (Pretty sure he was content as can be..as long as the food kept coming!)
Such a fun day!

School Field Trip...

Carter's preschool had another field trip last week...it was going on a tour of the library this time.
After walking around everywhere to see everything the library had to offer, they watched a little "skit" about library cards.
Then made a book about what they did at the library that day,

And got to run around on stage and have fun!
Carter loves going on field trips and seeing his teacher! I'm do glad they plan things like this so that Carter gets to experience lots of things.

Fun Saturday...

Today was a fun day! I took the boys to Barnes and Noble for their kid storytime and craft (though I will admit the whole event was lame.) But my mom, dad, sister and my mom's best friend Roberta all met us there so in the end it didn't matter that what Barnes and Noble put on was lame..we had a great time!
Here are my matching men...

Tonight Carter got to do one of his favorite things....shovel snow! This kid kills me that he likes it so much. (By the way anyone looking for a little shovel...Wal Mart $5)
And of course our sweet Brax. He's getting so big and animated! We love our two boys!
It's been so much fun watching them grow up together and really see how different they are...but in the end having the two of them has been the BEST experience ever!

Changes....

Our lives have been full of changes lately...and surprisingly things have been getting better by the day for our little family. We have been through so much over the past few months, and it's really made us refocus our goals and priorities to what really matters in life...our FAMILY!
Our sweet little Brax has officially moved into his own crib in his own room. I will say it was really hard to put him to sleep that first night away from me...but it's been great and the little guy sleeps through the night now! He is so happy when he wakes up and truly LOVES life!
He's so cute in his crib, but I know it won't last long (Carter was only his crib until about 11 months!)
Another change is that Scott and I have finally been able to go on a date! The last time we went out on a date was before we had Brax! It was so nice to really talk, focus and be able to share stories with each other! (thanks mom for watching the boys!)
Carter has had a change too, our little man is now a Sunbeam! He absolutely LOVES primary and the best part is that he truly wants to go by himself. Scott drops him off and he just walks right in. Church is becoming one of my favorite times for us...Scott drops off Carter at Primary and then takes Brax to Priesthood with him...it's my "alone" time and I LOVE IT!
The other amazing thing is that Carter has been saying his own prayers at night now. Every night since he was about a year we've always said prayers with him, but now the little guy likes to say his own prayers, it usually goes a little something like this,
"Heavenly Father, thank you for my Ellie (his elephant) and my family. Thank you for the Missionaries, say these things Jesus name Amen."
It's the cutest thing ever!
I love having two boys, Scott and I have been having so much fun spending time together. Our boys are so happy and are so much fun to take places, I can't wait to see what the future has in store for us.

Boondocks Fun Center...

I took Carter to Boondocks yesterday and we had a blast...the thing that made it so fun was this little guy...HUNTER DAVIS!
These best friends play so well with each other and really have so much fun...here they are riding the spaceship together...
And playing RollerBall...it's mini-bowling for the little guys and a BRILLIANT idea I might add!
Don't mind the frightened faces...I was doing some really funny moves to get them to smile for me...as you can see it's didn't work
It was so much fun...thanks Aunt Ju Ju and Ashley for having so much fun with us!

Family Time...

Scott and I have had our share of stressful, scary and very emotional times over the past five months....well all I can say is AMEN! It's finally getting back to the way things were (and not just a year ago, but it's like when we were just dating!)
I love Scott and the qualities that made me fall in love with him have been gone for a long time...well now they're back and in FULL SWING!
Our family has NEVER been this close and spent so much quality time actually doing things together....
Like playing Chutes and Ladders,
Even Brax has been in on the action lately (don't mind his really gross teething biscuit)
Or playing Cootie as a family,
Or mom and Carter just "riding" around on his coaster car for fun in the house!
We are completely enjoying life...though we've had to make some really drastic changes and hard decisions...the prize in FINALLY here! We are so thankful for our little guys and are going to live life to fullest!

Young Love...

My cute friend Ashley and I love getting our kids together...for many reasons. Carter and her son Hunter are best friends, the two of us get along so well, our families have a lot in common and one of my favorite reasons....Brax and her daughter Brinley adore each other.
We are determined that her Brin and my Brax are going to be married one day...it's just precious to see them interact with one another. Braxton is the ONLY baby that Brinley will kiss...
Priceless!

Hollywood Party....

Carter's "cousin" Jaycee had her fifth birthday last week. I LOVE going to this family's parties because they really plan a fun event for the kids!
This year's theme was all about Hollywood...and between the picture frame crafts, bounce house, and singing I'm pretty sure everyone LOVED it!
The cutest part was Cousin Hunter and Carter singing to the music on stage...
Brax liked it too because I held him the whole time.
Carter even ate the pizza lunch...he NEVER eats when there's so much going on!
It was a great party!

Monster Truck Rally...

Last weekend my dad got the boys together and went to the MONSTER TRUCK RALLY!
Of course my sister went too, she's like Scott's favorite lil' sis! I will admit I was a little worried about Carter....but don't you worry that little kid had a great time!
Funny story...it was at the E Center so there was a little bit of a drive to get there, aparently Carter chatted it up the WHOLE way there and back. On the way back he asked everyone in the car, "Hey guys I have an idea..are you guys hungry because I wouldn't mind stopping at McDonald's"
CRAZY Child!
Carter has asked me everyday since when he's going back to the truck rally with Grandpa Steve.
Priceless!

Car Piggy Bank Craft with Daddy...

Carter got a lot of "craft" things from Santa this year (man that Santa really knows how to pick presents...)
And he has been begging to do this Car shaped piggy bank with Scott for the past few days...well folks here it is!
Carter was so excited to play with the paints, mix the colors and watch the white "go away" as he kept saying.
Don't mind Carter's crazy face...he's making fun of me while I try to get him to smile for the camera.

He had such a great time making this piggy bank.
(notice Ellie in the high chair)
It's definitely the little things in life when you're three years old.

Happy 2010!

Happy New Year!
I can't believe it's 2010!!!!!
Here it comes.....

Yeah for confetti!!!!
Brax LOVED it!
Yesterday the Treehouse had a countdown to "noon" for the New Year...you know we HAD to go to that! And I'm really glad we did because it was so much fun.
We hung out in the "tent" as Carter calls it,
I got to hold Brax and really have fun with him while my sister played with Carter,
Carter's Cousins, Rylee and Jaycee came too,
And we got to make some way cute party hats!
It was so much fun! I'm so glad that I get to stay home and do these fun things with the boys...it's moments like these that make all the difference in the world!
