Amazing Photography and Memories to Last a Lifetime...

My cute friend Ashley has a sister who wants to break her way into photography. And what better way to that than to "practice" on people. Of course we all know I was all about her using my kids as models....and all I have to say is....AMAZING!!!!
I am completely blown away at how well she does...every picture turned out fantastic!
My goof ball....but man do we adore this boy.
This pic makes us all look as tan as Brax is naturally...
Carter is such a ham usually, of course not on the day that would work out...but Steph managed to get some great shots anyway....like I said she's amazing!

This one is precious...

I figured while we were out Scott and I would get a much needed pic of just the two of us....

Steph did such ana amazing job...her website is www.patchworkphotos.blogspot.com
you so have to check her out!

Family, Friends and Good Times....

Our little Braxton is a month old already! It's so crazy to think that he's been in our family for that long already....and at the same time it feels like he's always been here too. He fits in so well, he's a "chill" little baby (which is great because my Carter is a ham and takes center stage wherever we are) Our Braxton completes our family and gives our home a sense of contentment.
We've been busy getting together with friends and family....and just hanging out as the four of us lately.
I have two best friends from "back in the day" and both have just met Braxton in the last few days. (Sorry Jimmy I only have a picture of Rach with him) Here's a pic of Rachel and Braxton at Texas Roadhouse. I got the rare chance to go to dinner with her while Scott and Carter stayed home. Rachel and I have been friends since I was 17. We have gone to school togther, worked together, she was even my maid of honor. She's an amazing "aunt" to our boys and a great friend!
Carter got to introduce his friend Rylan to the Splash Pad. Pretty sure these two boys had a blast that day. Jackie and I had fun watching Rylan get wet, play with the water and go down the slides all by himself! It's so fun to see these little guys together.
And some of the greatest news....our nephews are back home now! Carter now has cousins that he gets see all the time. They are the cutest kids too! Here's a pic of the "ER" boys: Tanner, Carter and Hunter. (I know I messed up our theme naming Braxton what I did) It was so much fun hanging out with my only sister-in-law Annie and watching the boys play together! I can't wait to do more things with them now that they live here again.
We are having a great time hanging with friends and family. I am adjusting to random sleeping again, and also what it's like to get two kids ready and out the door. But overall, we are loving life and absolutely enjoying every minute of our crazy life!

Carter's Big News!

Carter has some really big news everyone....he's just about 90% potty trained!
I haven't really posted a lot about this...but I really have tried numerous "methods" with him over the past 6 months and have come to a brick wall each time...this time is so different and I'm so happy to announce that it's WORKING!!
My little man will start preschool soon and has to be potty trained by then, so not only is he motivated to be a big boy, but I'm motivated to make sure he starts preschool.
He has been doing so well, he goes in the bathroom all by himself, gets his stool and potty "insert" and goes #1 and #2 whenever he feels he has to! I am so proud, relieved and excited for this milestone in our lives right now. I'm so amazed at how quickly he's picked up on everything and how excited he gets when things work out...I'll keep you posted on when he gets 100% trained!

Everyday Life...with Two boys!

Now that things are starting to get back to normal...Scott and I are trying to get back on schedule. We've been going for walks every night, and getting "bath time" worked out with two boys now, and just enjoying our little family.
I love having people visit, or just stop by, but I do have to admit...being relaxed with just us has been nice too!
Here's the funniest pic of our stud muffin riding on his "Big, Loud Motorcycle" with his sexy little shades!
Here's our little guy just chillin in his seat in the stroller. He loves being outside...and as long as the stroller keeps moving he's good to go!
I had to post this pic....partly because it's funny and partly because it shows how chubby he's getting.

So don't mind the lips on this kid....he's really pushing his bottom lip out which makes them look like really big lips....but our little guy has gained an entire pound since he was born and is now almost 9 pounds! I love that he's gaining weight well and just growing like he should. (Scott and I always had to worry about Carter, so it's a nice relief to have an "easy" babe)

We have been having so much fun getting used to everything, being outdoors and giving our two boys as much attention as we can....

Family Time...

My cute family from Arizona came to visit and meet little Brax this past week. It's always so fun to have family visit...and what a better reason than to meet a new addition to our family right?
I will admit Braxton got so much love, attention and holding time that I know he's struggling being home with just me now. Having two kids makes it harder to have "holding" time with him so he gets a lot of swing time instead.
Here's a pic of my dad getting in some time with Braxton...Carter absolutely adores him, so this was a rare chance for him to just be with Brax and not Carter too.
Here's a picture of the "Grandpas" (my dad and Scott's dad) getting in some "kid" time too! They went for a drive in Scott's Camaro and, as Scott refers to it, "Drove it like they Stole it!" They seemed to have a really good time making black marks on the street in front of our house!
While the Payes were here I made sure to take them to the Cold Water Fish Farm. It really was so much fun! My sister Becca was catching fish left and right...even without bait or fish food! Carter was the calmest one out of all of us though. He's not afraid of the fish like the rest of us!
My family stayed in a hotel this time around (our house is shrinking by the minute I swear!) and there was a pool. I know it's bad but Carter has never been in a pool before...so he was in heaven swimming with them! Here's Grandpa teaching him how to kick his legs...
And what's summer in Utah without a trip to the Dinosaur Museum? Carter loved it and it really was a nice day that day too! Here's a pic of the little guy with his two Aunts...
And of course I had to get a family pic too...
Arizona is so hot in the summer time, so they sure were enjoying the nice weather we were having. I took them to Beus park where we fed the ducks, walked around and played on the playground...
We always have so much fun when they come to town, and this time was no different. It's so hard on Carter to have them leave and be stuck again with just me at home.

THe 24th Of July!

Yes I know it's August but I wanted to post about our 24th. It's kind of a milestone in our home because it's our first holiday as a family of four! Here's the boys (aka pyromaniacs!)
Earlier that day Ash and I took the kids....my sis Julia included, to the Ogden parade. I have to say I was very impressed...it was really long, eventful and had a variety of floats. My sister was so cute with the boys too!
Carter and Hunter are so adorable together. They get along really well but also fight like brothers too! As opposite as they are..they are the best of friends.
Ash and I have joked since we found out that she was having a girl and I was having a boy...we say that they are going to get married one day! It's really funny how the names of our kids are too...we have Carter and Hunter (which go together) and now Brinley and Braxton (which are really cute together too!)
These little kids are five months apart!
Here's the boys enjoying some snacks at the park together.
It's so nice to have such a great friend (and have our kids get along too) We have so much fun when we get together and the boys do too!

The Morris Brothers!

Life has been so busy, a little crazy, routines have been thrown out the window and Scott and I are still adjusting to having two kids....but at the end of the day we absolutely LOVE our life!
Little Brax has been such an easy infant though, his doctor appointments have been great, he's sleeping about 3 hours at a time at night and is just overall a really "chill" little boy. The doctor did want him to get some "rays" so that his jaundice levels stay in the "worry free" zone...so here's our little man catching some morning sun!
What's life with two boys without a double stroller? My dad and stepmom bought us this DELUXE Double Stroller. I could not be more happy with it. It's so easy to push, fold down and it really isn't that much bigger than our single one once it's all folded down. I love the front to back because I can take it anywhere indoors and fit everywhere I did with a single stroller. (I know Carter really should be in the front but you know two year olds!)
Carter has adjusted really well over the last few weeks of having Braxton in our family. One thing that has really helped is his time with Scott. Scott has been so good about making sure Carter gets a lot of alone time with him. This is the two of them mowing the lawn...
Here's a really sweet pic of the two brothers....it's amazing how dark Braxton is with his black hair and olive skin...and then there's our Carter with his fair skin and bleach blonde hair!
I love having our two boys! Life is so good in the Morris house right now....I can't wait to see how they grow up with each other...
